The Best Granola!

I have been following the Feeding the Fraser's food blog for awhile. Sammy is an amazing chef! I tried her granola recipe and let me tell you, it’s the best granola I have ever had! It has quickly become a staple around here. It holds together well. It's sweet. It's crunchy. It's perfect! You won't buy store granola again. I made three swaps in the recipe. I used what I had on hand. I used olive oil instead of coconut oil. This eliminated step #3. I could not find hazelnuts so, I used cashews. Also, I used honey instead of maple syrup. Definitely check out Feeding the Fraser's. Sammy is amazing! 


  • 1/4 cup pistachios

  • 1/4 cup pepitas

  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts

  • 2 Cups Gluten Free Rolled Oats

  • 2 tsp flakey salt

  • 2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1/2 cup almond butter

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup golden raisins (or dried fruit of choice!)

  1. Preheat the to oven to 300°F.

  2. Rough chop the pistachios, pepitas and hazelnuts. In a large bowl, mix the nuts with the oats, salt and cinnamon.

  3. In a separate small bowl, combine the almond butter, maple syrup and coconut oil. Microwave in :15 intervals until oil is melted mix ingredients together until smooth.

  4. Pour the wet ingredients into large bowl of the nuts and oats. Mix well to fully incorporate.

  5. Lay the granola out on a large baking sheet and shake gently to evenly distribute. Gently pat down with the back side of a spatula. 

  6. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, toss the granola and gently pat down into a smooth single layer (this will help it clump together!).

  7. Bake for additional 15 minutes. Remove from the oven, add the dried fruit on top and cool completely (roughly 40-60 mins) to allow granola to clump together.
