Thank you Juli B. for introducing me to this delicious recipe! I believe the original recipe was found on Pinterest however, I don't know who the original author is. I did make a few modifications. I have made this a few times and there are never left overs. This is the ultimate comfort food. I instantly think of fall weather and fall flavored beers.
In a crock pot add the following:
2 pounds of lean ground beef
2 cans of chili beans
1 can of Rotel tomatoes with lime juice
1 chopped onion
1 small can of tomato sauce
Lawry's Chili lime seasoning to taste
Cumin to taste
Chopped, tamed jalapenos
Extra splash or two of lime juice
(original recipe had 1 envelope of taco seasoning and no additional seasonings. Also, no tamed jalapenos or lime based products were used)
Gently stir and cook on low for 4-5 hours. This can be served over tortilla chips, rice, fajita vegetables or lettuce. Top with your favorite taco or taco salad toppings.
