This slow cooker recipe takes approximately 4-5 hours on low. This recipe is easy and delicious! This is also great for lunch prep!
Serves 9 people
3-4 lbs chicken breast tenderloins
3 regular sized cans of low sodium chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 bunches of green onions, diced
5 garlic cloves minced
1 cup low sodium soy sauce
½ cup honey
3 tablespoons of The Gourmet Collection Smoked Paprika, Garlic, Chili and Chives spice blend
3 teaspoons flour
Mix the soy sauce, honey and spice blend together. Put chicken, half of the soy mixture and garlic to slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 4 ½ hours. Add the chickpeas to the slow cooker. Stir and cover. In a small sauce pot, set to medium heat, add remaining soy sauce, honey and spice blend mixture. Bring to a low boil. Stir frequently and slowly add the flour 1 teaspoon at a time. Stir until mixture is thick and immediately remove from the heat, add the sauce to the slow cooker. Add green onions and stir well. Continue cooking for about 30 more minutes. Serve with your favorite vegetables.
