Morning Green Blend

The Morning Green Blend is my go to breakfast. While I do love cooking breakfast, I usually have no time to do so. Like most people, my mornings before work are a bit rushed. Also, I do not like coming home to dirty skillets and a sink full of dishes.

The Morning Green Blend is the best way for me to get a fulfilling and nutrient dense breakfast. It takes about 1.5 minutes to assemble and about 2-3 minutes to get it down the hatch. Although it’s green, it tastes like bananas. Sneaky, sneaky! It’s one of my favorites.

You will need the following:

  • A regular sized blender, mine is a 5 cup blender

  • 1 to 1.5 cups of water (I use a little more than 1 cup because I like mine a little thick)

  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (1 full serving)

  • 1 banana

  • 2 large handfuls of spring mix

  • 1 tablespoon of almond butter

Combine all of these ingredients into the blender and blend for 30 seconds to a minute. It gets really smooth and silky if you give it adequate blend time.
